Untitled (Brooch #5)

Aggie Beynon

Untitled (Brooch #5)
1984

This piece is part of a series of interchangeable earrings and brooches created by Canadian metalsmith Aggie Beynon in collaboration with paper artist Shellie Bender. In this piece, Beynon’s metalwork takes on the quality of paper, bending to create a dramatic shape reminiscent of origami. The sterling silver and niobium backing simultaneously supports and conforms to the curves of the electric blue paper.
