Black History Month is a time to celebrate the legacy and contributions of Black people in Canada and their communities. It is also an opportunity to learn about Black history and how it has helped shape a multicultural Canadian identity.
The 2026 theme for Black History Month is: 30 Years of Black History Month: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations — From Nation Builders to Tomorrow’s Visionaries.
