Little Seed Library

Help us grow our community, one seed at a time.

Preston has been the host location of the Seed Library cabinet for many years. This spring, from mid-March to June, a Little Seed Library with an assortment of seed packets will be located at each Cambridge Public Library location, providing even more convenience and support for community gardeners. 

Each Little Seed Library includes a selection of popular vegetables, herbs, and flowers, including native varieties that are crucial for bees, monarch butterflies, and other pollinators. Help the City of Cambridge support Bee City goals by planting and growing these pollinator-friendly flowers. 

Visit your library to browse and take what you need from the Little Seed Library. Each location will also gratefully accept seed donations at any time of the year to keep the Seed Library growing. Open packages are accepted.
